Terms of Use

Short version: you own your content, we don't deplatform you over opinions, and you can leave any time. The longer version is below.

Last updated: May 25, 2026
The TL;DR.
  • You keep ownership of everything you post. We get a narrow license to display it on your page.
  • We will not remove your account for lawful opinions, including ones we personally disagree with.
  • You can export your links and data and delete your account in a couple of clicks, any time, no fees.
  • We don't sell your data and we don't run ad-tech trackers on your public profile page.
  • Don't do anything illegal with the platform — see our Community Standards.

1. Who we are

LinkLiberator ("we", "us", "our") is a service operated by 17 Solutions LLC, a Wisconsin (USA) limited liability company. By using linkliberator.com or any related apps and services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use.

If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. That's the only way we know to be fair to both of us.

2. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where reasonably possible, notify you by email or in-app before the change takes effect. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't, you can export your data and close your account.

3. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (or older if your country requires it). If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens on your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, please contact us right away. We strongly recommend a strong, unique password.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it reasonably up to date. You may not create accounts for other people without their permission, and you may not sell or transfer your account.

4. Handles & usernames

Your handle (the linkliberator.com/@yourname URL) is yours to use while your account is active. You may not pick a handle that:

If a dispute arises (for example, a verified trademark holder claims a name), we'll review it in good faith and, where we agree the claim is legitimate, may reassign the handle after notifying the current holder. We'll always try to find a fair alternative before any reassignment.

5. Your content & our license

You own your content. Anything you upload, type, link, or display on your profile ("Your Content") remains yours. We do not claim ownership of it.

To run the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, and reformat Your Content solely to operate, deliver, secure, and improve the Service (for example: serving your page to visitors, generating thumbnails, backing it up, and showing it on mobile). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups that automatically expire on our normal retention schedule and copies we are required by law to retain.

We may quote or feature publicly visible profiles in marketing or press only with your prior consent. If we ever feature you and you want it removed, email us and we'll take it down promptly.

By posting Your Content you confirm:

6. Community standards (our hard limits)

We are committed to free expression. We will not remove accounts because of lawful political, religious, or social opinions, including views we personally disagree with. We will not shadow-suppress your traffic based on the politics of what you publish.

We will remove content and may terminate accounts for things that are illegal or that put visitors and third parties at serious risk, including:

The full, plain-English list lives at Community Standards. If we suspend or remove an account, we will tell you what rule was broken and, where appropriate, give you a chance to appeal.

7. Export & leaving

You can export your links, profile metadata, and analytics any time from your dashboard, in a portable format. You can delete your account from your dashboard as well. When you delete, we'll remove your profile from public view immediately and purge your personal data on a defined schedule (see the Privacy Policy) except for what we're legally required to keep.

We will never charge a fee to export or to leave.

8. Plans & payments

LinkLiberator has a Free plan that is genuinely free — no credit card, no trial timer. We also offer paid plans for advanced features. If you subscribe to a paid plan:

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, our hosting provider, payment processor, and email delivery service). We don't control them and aren't responsible for them, but we'll list the major ones in our Privacy Policy. Links you add to your page point to third-party sites — visitors leave the Service when they click those links, and we aren't responsible for what they find there.

10. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Standards. Where reasonable, we'll give you notice and a chance to fix the issue first. We may immediately suspend accounts that pose an urgent safety, security, or legal risk.

You may terminate your account at any time. On termination, sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, indemnity, limitations of liability, dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

11. Warranties & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We do our best to keep it secure, reliable, and accurate, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly suited to your purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims arising out of Your Content or your use of the Service in violation of these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be lawfully waived.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where permitted by law, any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, and you and we each consent to that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that requires disputes to be heard locally, this clause does not override that right.

13. Responsible disclosure (security research)

If you find a security vulnerability in LinkLiberator, please tell us. The fastest path is the contact form (set topic to "Security"). For researchers who prefer plain email — and for automated scanners — [email protected] still works and is listed in our /.well-known/security.txt per RFC 9116. We aim to acknowledge reports within two business days.

In return, we ask that you:

In good-faith research that follows these terms, we will not pursue legal action and we’re happy to credit you (or not — your call) once a fix is live. Our security contact details are also published machine-readably at /.well-known/security.txt per RFC 9116.
